WE NEED YOU! VOLUNTEER TODAY!
Warren Township Fire Department was founded in 1959 to serve the residents of Warren Township in Marietta, Ohio. Before the fire department was founded the township trustees paid $250 a year to Belpre, Barlow, Muskingum, and Watertown Townships for fire protection.
Station 1 was built in 1959. The building was also used as a township garage and office.
In 1960 sirens were put on four poles to alert the community of a fire. Before the sirens were installed everyone had to be called by telephone.
Station 2 was built in 1980 on St. Rt. 676 to better serve the large area of Warren Township. The land was donated by John Arnold and Jacob Arnold was the winning bidder to construct the building.
